A delightful week spent deep in the heart of “The Valle Verde” in Tuscany sharing all things storytelling, all things Italian and an in-depth workshop with Rona Barbour who is undoubtedly one of the most respected and highly successful career storytellers of today.
The Workshop; The five day workshop includes a very successful CPD storytelling workshop which Rona has been commissioned to write and deliver across the UK and abroad since 2007 (view the testimonials). You will gain a certificate and three CPD points on completion. Covering the main elements of storytelling, you will discover and rediscover your true storytelling identity. Also, during the workshop you will have the opportunity to visit the “birthplace” of Pinocchio where the author of this incredible story, Carlo Collodi, who came from this locality, wrote the story in 1883. In short, if you don’t find inspiration here, you won’t find it anywhere.
The Venue; is at the family home of Rona in the medieval village of Cervara, which houses the incredible “Fountain of Youth”. The house is a fairy basic, but comfortable 200 year old stone house in typical Tuscan style which has been restored and is now offering a mix of comfortable rustic charm and mod cons including WiFi. The accommodation is shared with a mix of double, twin and triple bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms, one with bath and both with shower, all of which are very comfortable and are fully equipped to meet your every need. Bed linen and towels are supplied.
Food and Drink; 3 meals per day and all meals are wholesome, made using only the finest, fresh, locally grown and sourced ingredients. The food is typically Italian but with some meals having a little Scottish twist and includes many famous Tuscan delights. The food is particularly suited to vegetarians! Much of the food is grown in the garden and served within minutes of being plucked from the earth! The finest wines are available and a free glass of your choice of these is served with the evening meal.
In Addition; There is the option of a day trip to the local market, 20 minutes by bus, which is in nearby Pontremoli, a wonderful medieval town well worth a visit not just for history of the place but also the unbelievable hot chocolate and pastries from the cafes in the Piazza, or a peek at the Cathedral in the square or better still, a glass of the finest Prosecco, as you sit in the shade and enjoy the slow pace of Italian life… watching the world, go by!
Excluding travel, and there are great deals flying to Pisa from almost all UK airports, the cost for this workshop is being offered at an incredible special New Year offer of only £395 per person, (normally (£445).
